Terms
Last updated September 1, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Bayt Al Hikma LLC ("the house", "we"). They apply whenever you use baythouston.com, the Bayt Al Hikma app, or the space itself. Buying a pass, holding a membership, or walking through the door means you accept them.
A day pass admits one named person from purchase until the 2:00 AM close of the same house day. Passes and memberships are personal and non-transferable. Prices follow the house clock and can change at any time; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. The number of passes sold each day is limited and can change with occupancy.
Door access is tied to your account and is for you alone. Do not unlock the door for anyone else, share your account, or let anyone follow you in who has not signed in with their own pass. Entries under your account are treated as yours. Tell us immediately if you believe your account is compromised.
The room is kept quiet and serious: take calls outside, keep conversation at the shared table considerate, and leave your station as you found it. No alcohol on the premises, ever. Treat the musalla with respect; it is open to anyone who needs a quiet moment. No overnight stays. Guests are welcome only with their own pass.
The house is a small room that runs on trust. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and subject only to applicable law, to refuse entry, decline or cancel a sale, suspend or terminate an account, revoke a pass or membership, and require any person to leave the premises - at any time, with or without prior notice, and with or without stated reason.
Once your access is revoked or suspended, entering or remaining on the premises is criminal trespass under Texas Penal Code §30.05.
An unused day pass (no door entry) is refunded on request within 7 days of purchase. A used day pass is not refundable. If we suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, prepaid unused time is refunded pro rata; if access is revoked for violating these terms or the house rules, remaining time and passes are forfeited. Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method.
The premises may be monitored by security cameras, and every door entry and unlock request is logged to the associated account. We use these records to keep the room and its people safe.
Personal property is brought onto the premises at your own risk. You use the space, its furniture, and its equipment as they are and at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own health and safety while inside.
To the fullest extent Texas law permits: the house is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss or theft of personal property; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid the house in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We hold your name and email (through our sign-in provider, Clerk), your payment history (through Stripe - card numbers never touch our systems), and your entry logs. We do not sell your data. Write to us to ask what we hold or to request deletion once your passes and obligations have ended.
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this page with its date above; material changes will be announced to active members. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts of Harris County, Texas.
